Nelly M. Busingye works with the Publish What You Pay (PWYP) International Secretariat as the Member Engagement Manager for Africa. She coordinates and supports the Member Engagement Africa team to achieve PWYP’s common goal of an open and accountable extractive sector. She has experience working with civil society on tax justice, the environment and natural resource governance in East and Southern Africa.
Nelly has sat on several coalition steering committees in Uganda, including the Civil Society Coalition on Oil and Gas. She has also chaired the Tax Justice Alliance Uganda and the East Africa Tax and Governance Network. Before joining PWYP in 2018, Nelly worked with SEATINI Uganda coordinating the Financing for Development/Tax Justice programme. She holds BA and MA degrees in Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University.
